Update on the Taco Bell manager
If you’ve been following this blog, thought you might like an update on the Taco Bell manager who was shot the other night:
“New details are coming out about a shooting at a Columbia Taco Bell.
Police responded around 12:50 a.m. Sunday for a man who had been shot outside the Taco Bell in the 7100-block of Minstrel Way. The victim has been identified as manager Gary M. Graham, 42, of Columbia. He is currently in critical condition at Shock Trauma.
Police have learned Graham and another employee, who will not be identified, walked out of the restaurant to confront a suspicious person outside. As Graham walked toward the area where the man was last seen, two suspects wearing masks appeared near a dumpster. One fired at Graham, who was struck multiple times in the torso.
The employee who had walked out of the restaurant with Graham ran back inside and was not injured.
Graham was able to make it back inside the Taco Bell, where other employees in the store called 911.
Detectives have been unable to speak to Graham, as he has been in and out of surgery and has not been awake since the incident.
A motive is unknown at this time. Detectives do not have descriptions of the suspects. Police are going to area businesses gathering details about the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call police at 410-313-STOP. A reward of $2,000 is being offered.”
Seriously? How did I miss this? My office is less than 100 yards from that place. Granted I wouldn’t be there at that hour but its not the type of area where I’d expect a shooting.
Sad, isn’t it?
