Desperate English Housewife in Washington, chapter 493

Backyard and Tailgating Parties

Doesn’t that title sound just sooooo American? Well, it is! And I’ll be talking about such things from a British perspective on Thursday ON THE TELLY!

I’ll be on a segment at 9.25am on WBFF-TV (Baltimore FOX TV) on Thursday 9 October having a natter with the host about my blog and all the wonderful things in the USA we’ve discovered, including tailgating (fyi, Brits, this is a social event held on and around the open tailgate (= boot) of a vehicle, usually prior to a big football game, and in ANY weather. Tailgating originated in the United States and often involves consuming alcoholic beverages and grilling food. What fun!).

During the segment I get to talk about the bits and bobs listed below, which my family and I have been using and experimenting with over the past week.

You’ll have to tune in/set record/wait for my post-interview blog post to hear what I have to say! #littlebitexcited! πŸ™‚

Specially designed fiber of the wipes allows them to be used on heated grill grates for optimal no-stick performance. Easily give food distinct grill marks without any worry of food sticking. 1. Linda says:

With American-designed CRESBI crates for your tailgating needs you get more variety and the strap can be branded with your cute logo!

  2. Linda says:

I’m curious what I need to do to get publicity about CRESBI crate systems like what you’ve done here for clever crates since they are in so many ways better than clever crates and they even have American content in them. Did you receive compensation for the 5 items you’ve listed as “discovered tailgating”? From internet searches I found they were the exact same items women bloggers in Indianapolis and Kansas City were also on TV talking about as being “unique” and “essential”. When people see something recommended like that (where it seems like you’re recommending it on your own) they are more likely to buy the products. Can you let me know what your charge is for a TV review like you did on Fox Baltimore? I’m hoping not too much! I don’t have the deep pockets the clever crate distributor company has but I do have a better engineered product designed especially for the American female shopper. Thanks!
